Ernesto is a first-generation Latino Cal student with a strong interest in chemistry education. He is majoring in Chemistry with the CalTeach minor and with the hope to complete his teaching credentials in Chemistry. His journey in both the world of chemistry and education has been driven by a deep enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Ernesto is involved in research with the Chemical Education Group, where he explores factors influencing student learning and ways to improve their experience through empirical studies involving pedagogical agents. These efforts seek to enhance students' accessibility, engagement, and success in education under the guidance of Dr. Elisa Stone and Professor Anne Baranger within the Calteach program.

He is excited to continue his journey as a dedicated and growth-oriented professional, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of chemistry education. With his diverse skill set and wide-ranging experiences, Ernesto is eager to contribute to educational initiatives and consistently deliver exceptional results.
