Community Success

In addition to working with students and teachers in local classrooms and presenting original lesson plans, Cal Teach undergraduates act as college-going role models. As current STEM majors they are in a singular position to demonstrate the importance of K–12 science and math curriculum in creating opportunities in college and beyond. Each semester all Cal Teach students enrolled in one of our five introductory classes gives a short presentation in their field placement about college. Local teachers have repeatedly voiced how much their students appreciate having current college students come into the classroom.
