Karin is a CalTeach instructor and an elementary lead teacher. She has worked in both public and private schools for over 20 years. She has a deep commitment to STEAM education in the elementary classroom and finds inspiration in teaching and coaching the next generation of STEAM educators. Karin has a BA in elementary education and an MS in curriculum and instruction.
Dr. Morgan Mitchell is a mathematics educator and researcher committed to advancing equity in mathematics education. She recently earned her Ph.D., where her research examined how structural factors shape students’ mathematics identities and classroom experiences. Dr. Mitchell has taught undergraduate courses focused on equity, classroom interactions, and research methods, and she has contributed to grant-funded initiatives supporting K–12 mathematics instruction. She is passionate about preparing future teachers to create inclusive, inquiry-driven classrooms.
