Our program offers two scholarship opportunities for outstanding undergraduates interested in pursuing a career in education.
Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Noyce Internships come in two varieties. During the summer, we offer a number of different education-related internships at Bay Area non-profits and summer programs. Before each Fall semester, Cal Teach offers a limited number of spots for undergraduates to shadow a mentor teacher for a week of intensive fieldwork in local schools.
The Cal Teach program periodically hires work-study students to act as peer advisors and assist with the program. These positions include administrative work, peer advising, marketing & outreach, and technological support. Their listings are available on the work-study website and/or with the UC Berkeley’s Career Center’s Callisto.
Our five-course minor is designed to be completed along side your STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) degree.
Students who complete the minor are eligible to apply for the Cal Teach Credential program, a unique opportunity to graduate with both a degree and a teaching credential.
