Cal Teach is committed to improving K–12 math and science education in the Bay Area and across the state of California. Our course sequence is designed to provide students with the skills, tools, and experience they need to succeed in today's classrooms, and support them to get a secondary math or science teaching credential simultaneously with their STEM undergraduate degree. Through the exploration of modern education research, structured lesson plan revision and development, and practical fieldwork, Cal Teach minors build a comprehensive teaching skill set

Finish in Four

Worried about finishing on time? Not sure how to fit Cal Teach into your busy course schedule? Don't worry, we'll work with you to develop a course plan that will get you out in four years. The Cal Teach minor was specifically designed to be completed with a major in math, science, or engineering. Check out some example course pathways or get in touch with our Student Services Coordinator.

Where Do I Start?

We strongly encourage students new to the Cal Teach program to begin by taking one of our introductory courses before beginning the minor coursework. If you are ready to begin the minor sequence, we suggest starting with EDUC 130. Ready to declare the minor?
